Accounting Manager

Packed Party is looking for an accounting manager responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting of company financials through assisting the Controller and President with financial reporting and analysis.


Responsibilities


• Assist the controller with all day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable, bank, account reconciliations, payroll, journal entries and general ledger
• Track and monitor weekly POs from Walmart for recurring programs
• Follow up with suppliers on shipment dates for seasonal programs
•With the assistance of the Controller, reconcile all funds received from suppliers and monitor all payments and communicate up when payments are late or delayed so the Controller can escalate as needed
•Support the controller to ensure the accuracy of books and records to build a solid foundation for financial reporting and business decisions
• Assist the controller with the preparation of monthly financial and operational reporting across all departments of the business
• Assist the controller in ensuring all internal processes are documented and assist President on ad-hoc requests as needed
• Maintain and track all Walmart POs and commitments from original commitment to final payment(s)
• System reconciliation for vendor payments
• Perform daily verification of cash and credit card settlements
•Review chargeback processing and reporting
•Request support and backup for credit card charges that are in dispute in partnership with the operations finance teams
• Prepare journal entries to the general ledger
•Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items
• Submit wire and ACH requests after approved by Controller and President
• Prepare daily cash deposits
• Assist with ad hoc projects
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience required
• Extremely detail oriented and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast paced growing startup
• Passionate about lifestyle brands/consumer goods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels
• Detailed oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proven knowledge of MS Office
