Celebrate with DIY Pencil Wafer Treats ✏️

Looking for a sweet way to kick off the school year? These yummy and adorable DIY Pencil Wafer Treats are a fun, no-bake treat that's as cute as it is classroom-ready!

We whipped these up in the office to celebrate our biggest (and pinkest!) Back to School Collection launch yet, and let's say… they disappeared faster than you can say "pass the pencil."

Whether you're making them for a teacher lunch, class party, or to show off at your next team meeting, these little cuties are guaranteed to earn you an A+.

✏️ What You'll Need:

  • Wafer Cookie Sticks - We used Gamesa Cremax Strawberry Wafer Cookies
  • Wilton Candy Melts in White and Pink
  • Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • White cookie decorating frosting
  • Parchment paper

✏️ How To Make Them:

Sharpen your pencil!

Use a sharp knife to cut off two small corners at one end of the wafer cookie to form a pointed pencil shape.

Dip dip dip!

Melt your pink and white candy melts according to the packaging. Dip the pointed end of the wafer in the white to create the pencil "wood" look and the other (flat) end in the pink for the look of an eraser.

Sharpen your pencil!

While the chocolate is still a bit wet, set in a chocolate chip at the pointed tip to create your sharp lead pencil look

Add the eraser band.

Once the chocolate has set slightly, use white cookie decorating frosting to draw a small line between the pink eraser and the wafer to mimic the metal band.

Let them set.

Place your finished treats on parchment paper and pop them into the fridge for about 30 minutes until fully set.

Serve + celebrate!

Layer them onto colorful plates (we used our favorite Packed Party tableware) and enjoy!

✏️Styling Tip: These look extra cute when served on bright party plates or packed into lunch boxes as a first-day surprise. Pair with our pencil headbands, jumbo pencil accessories, or back-to-school gift bundles for the full effect!
